No hotel better typifies the area of Smichov than the Angelo Hotel Smichov Prague. The hotel is decorated in an ultra modern contemporary Czech style and is very in keeping with the Andel district where bright colours and glass are the general leitmotif. Mixing traditional Czech themes with post Communist retro style, the Angelo Hotel gives you a glance into the beating heart of Czech design (mixing clean lines and irony) whilst still being really close to the centre of Prague.

Above you can see Smichov as seen from across the river in Central Prague (Stare Mesto). The metro station, Andel, is 2 blocks over from the hotel and the Vltava, 5 blocks, meaning the hotel is walking distance for a morning stroll up to the Charles Bridge. Recent Review: "Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Angelo hotel with a small group and have to say how brilliant it was. Everybody in our group loved the hotel and the Prague experience. The design is flawless and is really comfortable too, the staff at reception are extremely helpful, well presented and speak perfect English, the location is ideal, near the Andel metro and round the corner from a huge clothes and shopping mall, the meals are exceptional, rooms have lovely fittings and are very clean. For the price, this is surely one of the best done Design hotels in Europe. Smichov is a really nice district with lots of bars and restaurants, I felt safe and the prices were low."

Located in on Radlicka Street, Smichov, Prague 5, between the new Andel Shopping centre, the Andel Metro and the park area of Mrazovka. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Vltava river. The closest bridge connecting is Paleckeho Most. The Smichov area has been under gentrification for the past 10 years and this area has some of the best value restaurants and bars in the city.

To conclude: The Angelo Hotel Smichov is perfect for those wishing to explore Prague as the Smichov location offers fantastic value and is close to Mala Strana, the River and the Old Town, Josefov and Wenceslas Square. All of this is 20 minutes by foot, but 5-10 minute by tube or tram.

The General Hotel Smichov Prague is the creme de la creme of hotels in the Smichov (Praha 5) district of Prague. A 5 star hotel of amazing quality, the General Hotel Smichov Prague is well located, has terrific staff who are both knowledgeable, helpful and multilingual and offers wonderful service including a full wine list, an international restaurant and individually, traditionally styled bedrooms.

While this is Smichovs #1 Luxury hotel, it is also a real bargain in Prague because of its location. The General Hotels prices don't vary much from season to season or weekday to weekend. Location: As a district, Smichov is one of the most central and celebrated areas of Prague and plays a central role in the cities development. Currently home to the Staropramen and Pilsner Breweries, Smichov is understandably very attractive to stag group parties. The General Hotel offers many kinds of rooms and includes breakfast. The General is really close to the river which makes a beautiful walk each morning to the old town of Prague, the Charles Bridge or the Hrad.

A real favourite with past guests, the hotel scores 9/10 for customer satisfaction with many clients citing the excellent location, breakfast and super kitted out bathrooms as the main reasons to stay and to revisit this Smichov Hotel. 

#2 Angelo Hotel Smichov Prague

€74 per double this September, the Moevenpick is a well loved Smichov Hotel.
136 Rooms are available at this hotel atop of Smichov Hill, high speed wifi, air con, TV, minibar, the hotel has everything you would expect of a 4 star Hotel. A 5 minute walk from Andel and close to the Sacre Couer park, the hotel is well located in central Smichov and good for accessing all of Prague.

#5 Popelka Hotel Smichov Prague

For the budget minded, this traditional Czech hotel is just €45 per double per night. Just a 3 star but still a highly regarded hotel in the heart of Smichov. The Popelka Hotel Smichov is close to the Mozart museum and a 20 minute walk to the Charles Bridge, probably the least well located for the Stare Mesto and central Prague but still a great place to stay if you'd like to spend time along local Czechs and Praguites!
